Greece Gets Massive Bailout希臘獲巨額金援
To keep Greece's debt crisis(希臘債務危機) from threatening(拖垮) the European economy, the European Union(歐盟) and the International Monetary Fund(國際貨幣基金組織) have given Greece more than $140 billion in bailout funds (金援貸款、紓困基金). Greece has enacted tax hikes(頒布加稅) and made deep cuts in government spending(政府開支的緊縮政策), both of which are unpopular with the public(引起人民反彈). With such massive debt and a 14 percent budget deficit(財政赤字), it will take years for the country to rebound.
