為了譯出來讓人看的文章，不能將名詞化掉。

英文裡有無數用抽象名詞做主詞的句子，

譯起來很吃力，

要把原文先化一化。

中文句的主詞多數是人有時省去而已。

抽象名詞不可以在中文裡用作主詞，即使是實物，也不適宜。

各間房裡成堆的阿拉伯的毛毯，桌上最新出的書籍和雜誌，說出了一個接觸到上百點生活的人。

看他房裡推滿了阿拉伯毛毯，桌上放了最新出的書籍和雜誌，(你)就可以知道，他接觸人生的方面有多廣了。

culture抽象名詞

文化對他，和對東方人(他跟他們共同生活了很多年，也同情他們)一樣，是一件和人的氣概和心靈有關的事，不能用物質的發展甚至人文學科來衡量。

換人做主詞

他心中的所謂文化，和人的氣概、心靈有關，不能用物質的發展，甚至人文學科來衡量。他跟東方人過往很久，也同情東方人：在東方人心目中，文化也是如此。
